Bob was so proud of himself after inventing his self-stirring pan! Before he started work on his invention, he was like a different person. He couldn't get used to being retired. He felt lonely. His life had no purpose.
He had changed from a wonderful, handsome, middle-aged man, into a depressed, overweight ..... pensioner, almost overnight! But working on his invention gave him a new energy, a new purpose. It made him younger. He was like his former self again, the Bob I fell in love with. What a great idea!
I wonder why no one's ever thought of it before?
Maybe somebody has.
Poor Bob! He had forgot to check whether or not the self-stirring pan had already been invented ..... by someone else.

Oh well. I suppose it's 'back to the drawing board'.
You know, being a parent and being an inventor are in some ways similar. You need a lot of patience, and. if things don't always go right, you just have to. persevere. You just can't give up.
